I’ve had several people ask how you make these, so I thought I would post the recipe here on the blog! =)
Cake Mix Cookies
1 package chocolate cake mix (Or any other flavor. We’ve tried several! 😀 )
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
Optional: 1 cup of chocolate chips, nuts, m ‘n’ m’s, etc.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, stir together the cake mix, butter and eggs until smooth and well blended. Mix in any optional ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on cooling rack completely, or for about 10-15 minutes. Yum!
This is a great way to use a cake mix for something other than cake! =)
I hope you are all having a marvelous day!
I just finished this new look for spring! I decided also to make a new Twitter background to match.
Do you enjoy re-decorating your blog? I love to freshen mine up for all the seasons, and sometimes, I enjoy designing a new look just for fun!
Do you have a blog? I would love to drop by!
Courtney thought she was adventurous for having an email account. After successfully learning how to do email, she decided to sign up for a blog. And as they say, the rest is history. : )
Over the last year, I’ve become really brave on the computer. I manage my own blog, contribute to another, and signed up for Facebook, then added Twitter to the loop. Soon after, I signed up for del.icio.us. Over the last week, I’ve now signed up for Swagbucks and Bloglines. : ) Are any of you on any of those websites? I’d love to friend you! 😀
I can honestly say, I have met so many wonderful people through all of these places. Thank you to all of you who make each and every day brighter!
I realized yesterday that I have been blogging for 3 years! Where does the time go? I missed my blogoversary in January……. to make up for it, I think I’m going to work on a new theme. Something spring-y perhaps? The possibilities are endless!
Wishing you many blessings on this beautiful day!

Soooooo…… I still have a few books to finish! : ) I am going to continue to work on these through the end of March. I will post a new list in April.
This is what I am doing for my free reading- this isn’t school reading, so technically, there are more, but they won’t be listed here. What have you been reading?
One of my unnamed younger siblings left me this surprise on my desk:
This picture is of my copy of “Daisy Miller” with glue poured all over it. After the glue was poured over it, the artist placed a bottle cap, a pad of post-it notes, a letter that I had just finished writing to a friend, part of the packaging for a package of notecards that I have, and a few pairs of earrings over all of that glue. Needless to say, the book was ruined.
Wasn’t that sweet?
Hope your day is wonderful!
