A door closed…

Throughout my recent courtship, my prayer had been that the Lord would give very clear direction and clarity as to what His leading was for the outcome, whether we dissolved the courtship or proceeded on towards marriage. As of a few days ago, we are no longer courting. I am thankful for the Lord’s leading in this area and look forward to seeing what new adventures lie around the bend. What a wonderful thing it is to be able to rest in the sovereignty of God! His plans and paths are always perfect.

Looking back, I am so very thankful for the lessons I learned during the process, for the many folks we met and the new places we were able to visit, amongst several other things. God’s hand was clearly at work throughout the whole courtship and I am thankful to have seen the ways He made himself known. We serve a mighty God indeed!

Each day is truly an adventure as we seek the Lord’s will for our lives. I can’t wait to see what new adventures are in store next!

Many blessings,
~Miss Courtney

  1. Oh Courtney, I’m so sorry to hear this news. But my darling friend…what a joyful spirit you are exibiting! I pray the Lord would comfort you and bring any healing that you need as you move onward in your walk with the Lord. :)

“Each day is truly an adventure as we seek the Lord’s will for our lives.” – Amen! How true. So thankful that you have felt God’s faithful hand through all of this process along the way.

    Love and Prayers,

    • Thank you, Rachel. <3 I'm blessed to be surrounded with folks praying during this time! I know the Lord is faithful and that His ways are always perfect, even when we don't understand why He opens and closes different doors and paths during our lives. It will be interesting to see where the Lord continues to lead from here- I would appreciate your continued prayers as I seek the direction I should go. I feel so blessed to count you among my friends and sisters in Christ. <3

Love and prayers right back to you! ~Courtney

      • Will do sweetie. :) Yes, His will is hard to understand at times, but it’s a comfort to have the assurance that He promises that everything is for good – for us and for His glory {something I am trying to remember as often as I can}.

I also count it a joy to include you in my circle of close sister’s in the lord! :) Can’t wait to see how and in what way the Lord leads and blesses you in the future dear!
