Sweet Home Alabama

(still taking photos with my cell phone. I really hope I find that camera charger soon! :/)

I’m listening to Meredith singing “Sweet Home Alabama” while she plays. All she knows from the song is “Sweet home Alabama, where the skies are so blue!”, and she is singing it over and over while she and Darby and pretending to drive to their make-believe destination.

It’s rather sweet. :)

Today the sky isn’t so blue, but Alabama does certainly remain our sweet home. I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful state! =]

We’ve been up to all sorts of things lately. As Sinatra is *still* in the shop, I’ve been continuing to drive around the Snow Beast to do errands and our other activities.

And this is where you get to see how eclectically odd and eccentric I am. =D

For a long time, I had a really hard time parking correctly with any of our vehicles, so whenever I would park correctly in the spot, nice and even like everyone else in the parking lot, I would stop and take a picture. I’ve been doing that off-and-on now since I got my driver’s license a few years back.

I present *drum roll* the evidence:

Matthew and I were the chief errand runners this past Saturday. Our first stop was Staples, as opposed to paper clips, of course.

I forgot to take a picture of the parking job there. Oh well.

Next was Walmart! I forgot to take a picture of the front of Walmart, but since we all probably know what Walmart looks like anyway, I’ll just show you a picture of my parking job:

Perfectly in the spot! *gives myself a fist pump* (I guess that’s sort of odd, but parking correctly totally made my day! :) )

Then we went to Aldi’s. And I’m IN THE SPOT, Y’ALL!

I love Aldi’s. The manager knows us now and he asks how we’re doing or if there’s anything they can help with. They also lent us a quarter one week when we had forgotten one. Awesomundo, I tell you. =] We can go in there, get exactly what we need for less than we would pay nearly anywhere else, and get right back out extremely quickly. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: I love Aldi’s. =]

But, now I’m off the point. Where were we? Oh yeah, my parking skills.

Matthew begged pleaded asked if we might be able to make a coffee stop on the way home. I decided to be responsible and go on home take his idea and off to the Flying J for Pilot coffee we went! I’ve got to use my frequent customer card sometime, y’all. 😉

We were playing the “how many Schneider trucks can you see” game on the way there since we have to go via interstate, and I was very excited, because turning into the Flying J, there were 11 Schneider trucks parked in a row. So excited in fact, that I forgot to take a picture of them all in a row. Or a picture of the parking job. Ah, well, such is life.

I did get a picture of the guilty parties though, and if anyone asks, it was Matthew’s fault we stopped for coffee since it was his idea in the first place. :)

A very happy Tuesday to all of y’all. May you feel the joy-filled and peaceful presence of the Lord with you immensely through the coming week. <3 ~Court

I would love to hear from you! =]
